Welcome to my ancestry journey. Don (brother) and I took the first ancestry trip a few years back and discovered so much about both sides of the family. This time I’m hoping to dig deeper into my Murray line to learn more about the origins of the Murrays in America.
I headed out Thursday evening thinking everything was so good with the trailer. Wrong. Checked out the battery at Napa; checked out the tires – no problems, should have checked out the water system. Oops on that. Friday morning it became clear that the battery wasn’t recharging, so I stayed in the Costco parking lot until it opened and dropped in a new battery. While waiting I noticed cracks in between the tire treads, so decided to also replace those Friday morning. After that, hemmed and hawed about the age of my truck battery (2018) and decided to return to Costo to replace that as well.
And off I went to visit my Aunt in the Spokane area. She’s the last of my parents’ generation and I hadn’t seen her in a long while. Even with a late arrival after all that trailer prep in the morning, we had a great time catching up on life. She shared some new stories I hadn’t heard about my parents. Gave me a good laugh.
Leaving the next morning, I noticed my propane wasn’t working properly with the fridge so nothing was being kept cold. Aargh! After much phoning, I finally found an RV repair place that was able to fix the propane issue (I hope), and was on my way to Yellowstone. Arrived super late and had to back up the trailer in the dark. After 5+ years of not towing, that was quite a feat.
More trailer woes: shower head is split, tank sensors don’t work, water barely trickles out of the bathroom sink, and some of the outlets don’t work . . . but all these are manageable and I’m doing fine.
