Oh, what nice morning . . . We met up with Tina and Chris (James Murray house folks) for breakfast. More stories, more sharing. How do I describe it? Just delightful people. I was telling Craig how lucky we were that Tina and Chris were renovating the home of OUR ancestor. That place could have so easily been torn down and a whole legacy gone. Not only that, but I feel we have gained a great friendship with our visit here.
After that gathering, we headed off to the Rushville Library to see if we could find anything more about our ancestors – both Arnold Murray and his son James. When Don and I were here before, we were quite disappointed in what we had found here. This time I went in with new hopes, but must say, it was pretty much the same experience. There were maps that revealed property our ancestors owned, and a few tid bits of new information, but overall, it was a similar let down.
We returned to our campground, had a delicious beer and delightful conversation, then headed up to the Indianapolis airport so Craig could return home.
It’s been a challenge trying to find good enough wifi to download my photos and to post my blogs. The campground which claims it has wifi does not. I stopped by a Starbucks this afternoon, a place that usually has pretty good wifi, but it was closed – can you believe it? Then stopped at MacDonalds, which claims to have wifi, but the signal wasn’t good enough to even bring up my posting site. Then stopped at the campground office where the campground wifi signal is fairly good – where I posted a few days ago without photos, but this time I couldn’t get anything through. Sooooo, I’ll have to wait to post these last couple of blog days until I get to my next KOA campground tomorrow in Springfield Missouri.
